Control System Algorithm Engineer – (IIT – Fresher)

Job Description:

  • Control System Algorithm Engineer to design, implement, and validate control algorithms for respiratory medical devices such as ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP systems, and oxygen therapy equipment.
  • The role requires expertise in control theory, embedded systems, and medical device regulations to ensure safe, accurate, and responsive device operation.

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Control Systems, Electrical/Electronics, Biomedical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.  
  • 3–6 years’ experience/Fresher from IIT MTech/Phd in control system design for medical devices or safety-critical systems.

     

Strong expertise in:  

  • Control theory (PID and adaptive control)  
  • Embedded systems programming (C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink)  
  • Real-time signal processing

Key Responsibility: 

  • Algorithm Design & Development 
    • Develop real-time control algorithms for respiratory devices, including:  
    • Pressure control  
    • Flow control  
    • Volume control  
    • Triggering and cycling mechanisms  
    • Implement closed-loop control strategies (PID, model predictive control, adaptive control).  
    • Optimize algorithms for patient safety, comfort, and device efficiency 
  • System Modeling & Simulation 
    • Develop mathematical and simulation models of:  
    • Patient respiratory mechanics  
    • Pneumatic systems  
    • Sensors and actuators  
    • Use MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or equivalent for modeling and simulation of control systems 
  • Embedded Implementation 
    • Implement control algorithms on embedded platforms (microcontrollers, DSPs).  
    • Work closely with firmware and hardware teams to ensure real-time execution and sensor integration.  
    • Optimize for low-latency, low-power, and reliability. 
  • Verification & Validation 
    • Define and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system-level validation.  
    • Ensure algorithm safety under all operating conditions.  
    • Support regulatory testing and compliance activities (ISO 13485, IEC 60601, IEC 62304).
  • Sensor & Signal Processing 
    • Interface with flow, pressure, and oxygen sensors.  
    • Implement signal filtering, calibration, and sensor fusion.  
    • Ensure high accuracy and reliability of measured parameters.

Mechanical Design Engineer (4 –7yrs)

Job Description:

  • Mechanical Design Engineer to join our medical device development team. You will play a key role in designing plastic injectionmolded parts, sheetmetal components, and precisionmachined parts, and will contribute to the full product lifecycle—from concept development to production handoff. 
  • This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys handson design work, detailed problemsolving, and crossfunctional collaboration in a regulated product environment. 

Required Qualification: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. 
  • Experience of 3-6 years in designing plastic, metal, and machined components. 
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, 3D modeling, GD&T, and engineering drawings. 
  • Understanding of DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing processes. 
  • Ability to conduct basic mechanical calculations and tolerance analysis. 
  • Experience in medical devices or regulated products is a plus. 
  • Strong problemsolving, teamwork, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team goals. 

Key Responsibility: 

  • Create 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks. 
  • Generate concepts and support feasibility studies for new product designs. 
  • Perform engineering analyses, including mechanical calculations and tolerance stackups. 
  • Develop designs optimized for manufacturability, assembly, quality, and cost. 
  • Support selection and qualification of COTS components. 
  • Work closely with toolmakers, mold designers, manufacturing partners, and suppliers. 
  • Participate in prototype builds, testing, and V&V execution. 
  • Contribute to Design History File (DHF) documentation, including design inputs, outputs, and test reports. 
  • Support risk management activities such as FMEAs and hazard analyses. 
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and project management. 
  • Read and interpret design inputs, requirements, and specifications with minimal supervision. 

General Skill Required: 

  • Shall be able to mentor, train, and lead other engineers
